Five publications that will publish my work soon

In the name of being positive and looking into the future here is a list of the five publications (print and digital) I would most like to see my byline appear in:

Getaway Magazine/www.getaway.co.za

 

This is a local glossy travel magazine in South Africa with an excellent reputation and an easy reading format.  Their stories are informative and entertaining and they have a big following.

(I currently blog for them)

Submission policy: Send email with short proposal direct to editor, the feedback is usually within 48 – 72 hours.

Matador Network/ www.matadornetwork.com

 

“Travel culture worldwide”

Leading online travel magazine with extensive following.

Submission Policy:

Send an original draft max 2,000 words. Accompany submission with necessary information and without errors. No standard response time but if no response after a month – try submitting something else.

Online travel magazine/ guide with useful information and travel planning facilities.

Editor: Katie Hammel – katie@bootsnall.com

Submission Policy: Via online submission form with the advice to read their tips on submitting features, photo essays and so on. No indication of length of response time.

Africa Geographic/ www.africageographic.com

Glossy magazine which reaches to a global community that share their passion for Africa’s wilderness, wildlife and cultures. Focus on conservation and information relating to Africa. Excellent magazine with solid reputation.

Submission Policy: They do not accept unsolicited articles and only short synopses of an proposed article should be sent to the editor via email (max 200 words).  No indication of length of response time.

Wildjunket / www.wildjunket.com

Digital travel magazine that specializes in first person narratives of epic journeys or exciting travel stories. An entertaining magazine with excellent social network exposure.

Submission Policy: Submit articles directly to editor after you have read their magazine and blogs to get an idea of the style of article/story they prefer. Include links to photos and brief information about the author with contact details. They have a variety of sections that you can submit in from Features to Travel guides. No indication of response time.

 

Here’s hoping I see my name appearing in all of these fantastic publications..hint hint hope the editors are reading this.
